The Dickerson Power Plant, operated by Mirant power company, is located just across the Potomac River from the Eastern edge of Loudoun County. It is 3.6 miles from the town of Lucketts and 7.9 miles from Ida Lee Recreation Center in Leesburg. In Lucketts VA on May 16th 2006, Loudoun civic groups (LCCSS, Progressive Action League) assembled a panel discussion on the health and environmental impacts of the coal-fired plant on Loudoun County. |
