D6. Impediments to implementation
Capital funding will always be the biggest challenge, especially as we continue to grow so rapidly. Our growth is also an opportunity though, as we have lots of chances to succeed with each new building. The challenge of incorporating good health and sustainability into the curriculum comes with our reliance on national texts and emphasis on Virginia SOLs and federal NCLB regulations. The opportunities are the widespread recognition that future curriculum needs to be cross-disciplinary (where many topics are taught simultaneously) and Loudouns exceptional ability to offer diverse electives in High School.
