Mission Statement: LCCSS promotes the development of a local community economy based on environmental stewardship and the sustainable use of resources.

Campaign 2007
Background
Two citizen-led LCCSS subcommittees met in the summer of 2007 to craft questionnaires for Loudoun County candidates to
  • learn their positions regarding sustainability-related projects and platforms, and
  • educate them on ways their office can advance our County's economic and environmental health.

Results from the collected survey responses are posted below.

News
August 2007: Questionnaires mailed to Loudoun Board of Supervisors and Loudoun School Board candidates

Sept 2007: candidate responses received and collated in preparation for publishing

Sept 28 2007: 11 of 19 Board of Supervisors candidates and 12 of 16 School Board candidates responded to our questionnaire

October 18, 2007: School Board and Board of Supervisorssummary of results released to the press.

Tues November 6, 2007: Loudoun citizens vote!
